The Ultimate Baby Shower Registry – Lost in LaLa

“With my due date literally right around the corner, I’m so excited to finally get to put all of the amazing items I’ve been gifted for Baby Girl Beech to use! When I first found out I was pregnant, I was completely clueless as to what products I would need to care for a baby. My friends and family would spew random information at me, which was super helpful but also extremely overwhelming and hard to take in. I’d make note of things mentally that stood out to me as items and products that would work for me and our family’s needs and lifestyle but when it came time to get organized and put together a baby shower registry, it was difficult to know where to begin! Cue, the registry guru who stumbled into my life at just the right time and helped me more than I could ever express! Monica Banks is the founder of Gugu Guru and now someone I’m grateful to call a friend. She is an expert on all things babies and children and was so crucial in my decision making when it came to products for our little one. Monica kept me organized, educated, prepared and above all else, made me feel confident that it was all going to be okay whenever I got overwhelmed or had questions. The guidance and careful thought that went into every category of baby products to suit our family was just brilliant and I’m thrilled she was able to take the lead on this blog post and share all the details of my baby shower registry with you today! Hope you enjoy!”- Shenae

Bumbleride Indie in Matte Black

  • Bumbleride Indie Stroller : If ever there was an eco-friendly, sustainable stroller, it was the Bumbleride. Made from 100% recycled PET, Bumbleride has kept over half a million water bottles out of landfills since 2011. To color their fabrics, they also use an innovative solution-dye process that conserves approximately 25-40 gallons of water per stroller. And if that weren’t enough, their strollers are PVC & phthalate free, made without fire retardants or polyurethane foam, and their fabrics are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I certified to be free from harmful chemicals. Plus, the Indie has air-filled tires and a UPF 45+ canopy. We got this stroller to use around our neighborhood (more like a jogging stroller) as it’s a bit more heavy-duty than the UPPAbaby, but a super smooth ride nonetheless.

Why We Love It

“It’s just a fact. When along comes baby, along comes all of baby’s things — the diapers, bottles, clothes, toys and on and on. For parents trying to keep their family footprint to a minimum, it can be truly a challenge. But the Bumbleride Indie is doing its part to help. The all-terrain favorite among moms and dads is designed with eco-friendly polyester fabric, which is made from recycled water bottles (up to 28 per stroller!). Plus, the company’s textile-dying method seeks to conserve gallons of water in the process. What you gain in feeling great about your purchase, you also don’t lose in the quality. What to Expect community member cmz2015 says, “It’s a fantastic stroller. It’s so easy to maneuver, it’s lightweight and the fabric is fantastic. It’s very well-made, sturdy and durable — and quite aesthetically appealing. I’ve had numerous compliments on it.” She says she also appreciates that, even if you choose not to use the bassinet, the seat lays completely flat, which makes it suitable for newborns.”- Read the whole article here.
