Best Jogging Strollers – Motherly

Why it’s our fave: The most versatile stroller on our list, the Bumbleride Speed Jogging Stroller is one of the few on the market that you can take to out for a run on the beach and then meet up friends at a fancy brunch spot… all while looking super stylish. Comprised of soft, durable fabrics made 100% from recycled polyester—the brand is responsible for keeping more than half a million water bottles out of landfills since 2011—the Speed has the sleek brushed aluminum frame of a city stroller combined with the all-wheel suspension of a jogger. About those wheels! Created for a walk/jog/run lifestyle, the front 12-inch wheel can be locked forward for runs, locked at 30-degrees for a jog, or set to 360-degree swivel when walking about town. We also love the myriad pockets (the cellphone canopy zip is genius), the easy-access foot break and the standing fold. Oh, and that it has a matching bassinet and car seat adapters, making it an option for newborns, too. If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop stroller on day one with baby that functions just as well commuting as it does knocking out a 5k in record time, this is it.

More to know: Those aforementioned fabrics are also Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I certified to be free from harmful chemicals (including PVC & phthalate).”- Mother.ly

Bumbleride Speed Review – @RunningRoundy

@bumbleride has so generously provided their Speed jogging stroller, bassinet, and accessories in exchange for my honest review of their amazing products. I’m excited to let you know all about it! There are so many impressive aspects and features that make Bumbleride unique and the best choice in my opinion. . . They’re a company that is like-minded with outdoor companies such as Patagonia, the North Face, and others who strive to preserve the planet. Some ways they’re doing so is by making eco friendly fabrics from recycled plastic bottles and using dye processes that conserve water. . I like their straightforward, common sense design. It’s by far the best on the market in my opinion. Their clean, purpose-built design is the perfect balance between functionality and style. It’s the most aesthetically pleasing. The steering is engineered for easy strolling and turning. And the front wheel can be locked for your faster tempo runs. Other features that impress me are the adjustable handlebar and how incredibly compact it becomes once it’s folded. And it’s never been easier to fold a stroller, let alone a jogger! My husband was also very impressed by this. He thinks it’s better than any stroller we’ve used, and more compact than the smaller ones we’ve owned. He likes that it’s a stroller that can be your “one and only.” The assembly was very easy and simple. There’s nothing unnecessary in the sophisticated design. . Let me tell you about the bassinet. I’m in love with this accessory! Baby is so comfortable laying down inside. You can attach it with or without the seat fabric (I left mine in, placing the bassinet on top). They also have the option of a seat adapter that allows you to use your own infant carrier brand including Maxi Cosi, Cybex, Nuna, Peg Perego, Graco or Chicco. The bassinet is my favorite accessory. . I did my research on jogging strollers including the BOB and Thule brands, and nothing topped Bumbleride. This high-end stroller is sold all over the world and by fine retailers such as Pottery Barn Kids, as well as on their website bumbleride.com . #bumblerideadventures #bumbleride #postpartumtraining

Stroller Running and the Bumbleride Speed – Run She Is Beautiful Blog

{Excerpt from Run She Is Beautiful Blog by Paula of @fitfam6}

Let’s chat about a stroller for a hot minute.  It’s not a secret that 99% of all my running is done with a stroller. Fact. However, what I don’t share enough about is that I have tried quite a few strollers (tried 7), either because I own quite a few (ummmm my husband Dave thinks I have a stroller hoarding problem. Embarrassingly, I have 5. I refuse to talk about it) or I have been able to borrow a stroller. I use the stroller for running errands to long runs to all kinds of training workouts. My strollers get put through a lot! Not only with the miles that I put on them, but also with Asher and his behaviors that come along with his disability. Let’s not forget that he was able to literally break a Bugaboo stroller seat less than a year ago because of said behaviors.  For a 25lb-ish 5 year old he seems to have Herculean type strength.

It has taken me nearly 3 years to find the perfect blend of strollers.  Lots of trial and error, paying attention to how Asher responded to each stroller and most importantly how my body responded to each stroller.  No two running strollers are made the same.  Bumbleride is now my stroller of choice, but about 3 years ago I thought I found the stroller of my dreams and at that time, it was the perfect stroller. Asher went from hating everything about being in any stroller to loving it with the Bugaboo Runner. It got me through 3 training cycles great until Asher simply was too big.  The max capacity for the Runner is only 37.5 pounds. Asher is far from that, but he simply got too big. It was awkward for him and there really are no pockets or ways to attach snacks for him. I then moved on to two strollers of varying popularity: Thule Urban Glide stroller and Bob Flex stroller…” READ MORE.

“Oh and one last “Hey you should really try this stroller” argument, I ran a local race this past weekend. Last minute sign up read that as 10 minutes before it started I registered. What was suppose to be an easy run day with Asher in the Bumbleride turned into me trying to see what I could do with the stroller racing. My first race with the Bumbleride did not disappoint. I finished top 10, first female OA, first stroller (there were a lot surprisingly) and first in AG. I consider that pretty awesome for my first Bumbleride Stroller race and think it should be convincing enough in itself to let others know Bumbleride is awesome!

2018 Bumbleride Indie Review – Mom’s Stroller Reviews

Susan Brian of Mom’s Stroller Reviews has been a longtime Bumbleride owner and has reviewed many strollers (she’s an expert!). Below is an excerpt from her 2018 Bumbleride Indie All Terrain Stroller review. Thank you for your detailed review Susan!

2018 Bumbleride Indie Review by Mom's Stroller Reviews

The Bumbleride Indie 2018 is a 4th generation jogger with some minor improvements. It’s designed for active parents who enjoy light jogging and want an everyday stroller with the off-road ability with LUXURY features.

Indie is perfect for moms like me, who is not a serious jogger, but still wants to go for a jog once in a while. Since I am a huge Indie fan and thought the previous model was almost perfect, I was excited to see what improvements Bumbleride came up with.

For 2018 they only had 3 updates:

1) It has an updated UPF 45+ canopy that now sits higher on the frame and can accommodate a taller child. It still offers the same great coverage.

2) The second update made the fold a little easier with redesigned release triggers.

3) New storage pockets in the back of the seat where you can put your water bottle or other small essentials.

And of course they’ve added new colors. The new eco-friendly fabrics are made out of 100% recycled PET materials. Also, no harmful chemicals were used in the process.

Despite the upgrades, Indie 2018 still weighs only 24 lbs and can accommodate a child from birth and up to 55 lbs. It can also turn into a travel system with most popular car seats

It rolls on large air-filled tires that glide through any terrain. This is a great jogging stroller that you can take off road. Easy to pushed even with one hand. Some other features that parents enjoy are: adjustable leg rest, adjustable handle bar, large basket, mesh window in the seat, plenty of storage, adjustable 5-point harness, and run away strap.

I gave the new Indie 5 out of 5 stars since I really like the new updates and think that this is an outstanding jogger, one of the best on the market. It retailing for around $549 and comes with an air-pump and a bumper bar…
