“But first, let me provide a little background on my stroller experiences. When I was pregnant I registered for the BOB Revolution SE and my wonderful Santa Cruz running friends got me one (thank you!). I literally did no research, it was the only running stroller brand I know about and I liked the navy blue. My real advice is do some research, the Bumbleride may not be your dream stroller – maybe it’s the BOB or another great ride. But find out what is important to you in a stroller and then pick one. That’s my real regret but such is life. Anyway, we didn’t use the stroller until miniKEG was 8 weeks old because I didn’t bother with a carseat adapter (she was content hanging in the carrier with mom or dad) and I didn’t run with her until she had good neck and core support – about 5 months. But once I started running, I found some of the limitations the BOB Revolution SE posed for me. The handlebar was too short and caused me back pain and because this was our only stroller, it came with us everywhere and I found the BOB to be long and cumbersome at times. The other irk for me was the basic undercarriage of the stroller was hard to get stuff in and out of (remember I do a lot of errand running). When my running buddy/partner in crime, Connie, got the Bumbleride I was immediately jealous: I loved the color, the design, and the adjustable handlebar. Fast forward a couple months, and I, too, had the Bumbleride (thanks Erin!)”…..Read More.

Sara Haley has some great mother’s day gift ideas for active mothers-to-be including our Bumbleride Speed jogging stroller.
The Bumbleride “Speed” is the perfect way to ease back into a workout routine as a new mom. It’s lightweight and has swivel technology, which makes it perfect for running or walking. Furthermore, if you’re pregnant with toddlers already at home, putting them in the stroller is a great way to stay fit during pregnancy. It may sound crazy but the support of a stroller can be great to ease issues like sciatica when walking so if you already have a stroller and baby hasn’t arrived, load it up with groceries, etc. and start getting used to it while you ease the pain. (Price: $549)
We had an amazing time supporting so many inspiring women at Run She Is Beautiful Santa Cruz! We hung out with friends Jacqui Saldana (Baby Boy Bakery), Jenny Schatzle and Babyganics!
Congratulations to Christie Jackson and Erin Garvey on winning the Bumbleride Baby Mama 5k and 10k divisions!! Christie was able to race with her grandmother who won her own 70+ age division at 82! Amazing!!
Stroller engineering gets better every year. Proof positive: the following 7 beauties with gee-whiz features like expanding baskets, seats that morph according to your needs, and teeny tiny folds that let you store them anywhere you need…
Bumbleride Speed 2017: If you use a jogging stroller, you’re already familiar with the shortcomings of some models, with wheels that pull or rattle and brakes that shudder. Bumbleride put in some engineering time on the stroller’s Speed3 wheels, which function in 3 modes (thus the name). You can lock them straight-ahead for running, lock them at a 30 degree swivel for slower jogging, or let them swivel all the way around for meandering around. The wheels are huge and will roll over anything — you can take it to the beach! And it stands by itself when folded, so it won’t slip down and hit you in the shins when you store it in your garage. (Bumbleride, $549-$579)
