Cabrillo National Monument Sunrise 5k Point Loma, CA February 9, 2019
It was an especially chilly San Diego morning on February 9, 2019! Our Bumbleride team was up super early before the sunrise in Point Loma, CA to head up to San Diego’s only national park, Cabrillo National Monument for the Sunrise 5k. We love sponsoring local events where we can be outside exploring with our families while also giving back to our local community. This particular sponsorship helps provide science and education for underprivileged kids, a subject near and dear to our hearts.
We set up camp and did some pre-run stretching and yoga, fueled up on hot coffee and took off on the picturesque route along the Pacific Ocean. The crisp air and expansive ocean views were amazing and it was fun to be at the park before the hours it is typically open to the public.
What a fun 5k! We crossed the finish line and went back to our booth to help answer questions about Bumbleride from local families. It was an intimate event that we loved being a part of. We can’t wait to sponsor the next Sunset 5k coming up on Saturday, July 20th, 2019! Join us!
Looking for an awesome family activity on Saturday, February 9th? Join us in supporting the Cabrillo Sunrise 5k at Cabrillo National Monument. Watch the sunrise over San Diego and explore the park afterwards. See spectacular ocean views at an hour of the day when the park is normally closed.
This event is family and stroller friendly. Stroller riders do not need to register as long as they stay in the stroller (adults and child walkers will need to register). Please stop by the Bumbleride tent to say Hi!
Join us in Santa Barbara, CA on September 17th for the Run She Is Beautiful Pinkest 5 & 10k Baby Mama Stroller Division! Winners of each Baby Mama Division will win a Speed jogging stroller!
We’ll see you after the finish line in the Baby Boy Bakery Kid’s Zone! Jacqui, founder of Baby Boy Bakery ran in the Santa Cruz 5k earlier this year pictured above and below with her Speed jogging stroller in Silver Black. Read her Speed jogging stroller review here.
