My verdict: All-terrain stroller with beautiful design
“This is more expensive side-by-side double stroller, but the quality and versatility are definitely worth the money. Bumbleride Indie Twin accepts two infant car seats and two bassinets so parents can use it from birth.
It’s not only a top-notch twin stroller, but also a great double stroller for siblings. All thanks to excellent stability and weight distribution.
The regular seats feature near-flat recline, there are also adjustable calf rests. You can actually use the full recline and calf rest raised all the way up to convert the seat into infant-mode. It provides secured and enclosed space for small infant.
It can be even used for a newborn baby but since the seat is facing front, you wouldn’t be able to observe your baby (except for the viewing window on the canopy). That’s why I think getting a bassinet for newborn baby is better option, particularly for frequent walks.
But it’s nice to have a newborn-ready seat, especially since this double stroller is quite pricey and not all parents may have extra budget for the carrycots.
The maximum weight capacity is 45 lbs for each seat. Based on customer reviews I can tell you that Bumbleride Indie Twin Double Stroller will most certainly serve you up to 3-3.5 years.
I love how well-padded and cushy the seats are. They are perfect for naps on-the-go, no matter how old your babies are.
Another noteworthy features are the two large canopies that extend really far. They even pass over the bumper bars! Even when the seat is fully reclined the canopy provides great amount of shade. Thanks to that you can be sure that the sun won’t disturb your kiddo’s nap. No more worries about sun in baby’s eyes!…” READ MORE

“Together my husband and I spent hours researching the best double strollers. With so many options and factors to consider, deciding on a double for our baby and toddler was considerably harder than deciding on a single for us. It all paid off though, we ended up with one of the best: the Bumbleride Indie Twin. After a solid six months of using it, I feel like I can finally give an official review of it. It’s love, and here’s why:
The Indie Twin is a side by side all terrain stroller that can be used as a jogging stroller when the front wheels are locked. All-wheel suspensionand air-filled tires (a pump comes with the stroller) are features I didn’t think I needed, but now would have a really hard time living without. We have taken this stroller on the sand, rocky trails, and I regularly walk it on grassy hills.. all smooth and easy! Having the freedom to really take your stroller anywhere is amazing, and I am officially converted to the all terrain life.
Beyond being able to handle really rough terrain, this stroller is a dream to push and maneuver. I take it on walks daily and it always comes to Disneyland with us. One thing I absolutely need in a double stroller is the ability to push it easily one-handed and the Indie Twin completely satisfies that. I love that I have no problems pushing it while reaching down to give the baby a toy or the toddler a snack (a huge perk of side by sides, both kids are always in reach!) It really does not feel much different than maneuvering a single stroller, and it is only as wide as 30 inches (if a doorway is big enough for a wheelchair, it will be big enough for this stroller!)”…. Best Double Stroller 2015 – Indie Twin – Baby Gizmo Awards
“The Bumbleride Indie Twin has been one of our favorite double strollers for years! It is not only gorgeous but a practical, side-by-side stroller that is parent and multiple-kid-friendly. Watch the Bumbleride Indie Twin Baby Gizmo Video Review.
What we like best:
- Roomy, seats with flat reclines that can accommodate a newborn (or two!).
- Independent reclines for those days that one needs to rest and the other child is about seeing the world.
- Huge, independent canopies.
- Pushes like a dream (even with one hand!).
- Giant basket.
- Adjustable handlebar.
- Twin Moms: It can accommodate 2 infant car seats at the same time! With twins, how do you choose who stays in a car seat and who gets the stroller seat in the other double stroller options?” – Baby Gizmo

Best Double Stroller 2016 – Indie Twin
A double stroller isn’t just for moms of multiples. Whether you have twins or little ones of different ages, you need a set of wheels to accommodate a pair. And that pair might have different ideas of what’s comfortable. Not a problem; the Indie Twin can adapt.
WHAT WE LOVE
- Individually adjustable backrests and footrests keep babies of different sizes (and nap schedules) comfortable
- Car seat and carrycot compatible, it can accommodate two infants at a time—or any combination of two kids under 90 pounds
- 12-inch air-filled tires can swivel or lock in place, so this stroller is seriously easy to push and pivot, even with just one hand
Traveling with two isn’t always easy, but this streamlined double stroller—only 29 inches wide!—is meant to take you places.” -the bump Editors

Thank you the bump Editors for choosing Indie Twin for the second year in a row as Best Double Stroller!
My daughter is growing up fast and has just hit her six month milestone. She’s already sitting up unaided and has outgrown the carrycot on our Bumbleride. Although we love the longer sleeping hours, the reduced crying and the cheeky giggling, we do miss having a new born baby. Not that we’re considering having a third…at least not right now anyway!
Thankfully, it was a straightforward job to re-organise the buggy, but it meant another foot muff needed to be installed. It’s a particularly cold winter this year in London and the last thing we want, as we head towards the Christmas holiday season, are two children under two with stinking colds.
My wife and I love Christmas and normally spend the holidays in New York City. Since having children though, this hasn’t been possible and I’m not even sure it’s legal to have children in Manhattan, as I don’t even remember ever seeing a child’s buggy on the island. I guess it’s more likely I just didn’t notice any, but you never know.
The one thing I always dread about Christmas is the annual shopping expedition. It was bad enough when we were child free, but with two little ones, it’s bound to be stressful. After all, people who don’t have children do not like double buggies. Seriously, I have never heard so much tutting or seen so many disapproving looks. Admittedly, this isn’t helped by the fact that even on a normal shopping trip I end up bumping into someone’s ankles or banging past their shopping bags, so what chance do I have during the busy festive season? One thing in my favour, other than the fact the Indie Twin is easily manoeuvrable, is that it’s also more compact that similar buggies. I’ve never been a fan of buggies which have one child sat over the top of the other and besides, there’s no way my son would be happy being hidden away like that. He has to have a front seat, so he can busily interact with everything and everyone he sees. There’s also plenty of room to store your shopping, so we won’t have to balance it all precariously on the front bar.
This is going to be our first Christmas as a family of four and I cannot wait for the day to arrive. The stress doesn’t end there though, as it’s my son’s birthday on the 26th and my wedding anniversary on the 27th. December is an expensive month. Happy Holidays!
